Is this dip in the contour normal? It is really hard to capture by camera. It’s more pronounced in real life. It’s a steep drop on the right half of that sediment and more gentle drop on the left half.
Yes brand new. I installed. Our PB doesn’t do slides usually. He said we could save a lot if we purchased ourselves. Looks like I’ll be calling SR smith.
That is a low spot on mine as well, get a little bit of pollen or dust settling there, but not much at all. Only though in the joint as that is slightly lower there.
There is a video of the slide at the link above. It’s that near the bottom aspect of the top section of the actual slide part.
It is very hard to capture. And hard for me to tell from pics and videos of others online have the same thing.
I sent the pic and video to sr smith… but I’m still waiting two weeks for them to respond to an another email about getting shims for under my slide to level it (it said in manual they would send for free if needed). So I’m starting to doubt their customer care.
The slope may be normal. Not sure. My wife and i both noticed it right away at the same time after putting it together. Too cold here in MI to test out. I’ll ask my pb too- he hasn’t seen it yet. Not sure why he isn’t in the slide business- it only took me a couple hours to put together. Maybe he doesn’t want any potential liability?
Edit : i think you have to click the Imgur link to actually see the video (

You did a good job with the video. I can see what you are seeing. I think it is to help "push" the water/rider where they need to go. Here is something I thought of for you to try. Take a big trash can up to the top of the slide. Fill it with water then tip it to get a big gush of water down the slide. That might show you if this is a planned feature. You could also just run the water as if you were going to do down it to see how it flows.
