Has anyone heard of IR (International Recreation) Sand Filter 24 inch? And does it really matter?

Hey everyone! We are needing to get a new sand filter and a company that has always been very reputable in the area is where we are buying it from. The problem I am having is that when I asked what brand of filter it is he hesitated and said "IR.....International Recreation." It was my mistake that I didn't look when I was in the store, and he told me this over the phone. I could drive back there, but I figured this would be a better place to find my answers. When researching, I can't find that brand anywhere. The only thing I did find was "Intex Recreation". But when I search for their sand filters, none look like what I am buying. Has anyone heard of this brand?

I may also be wrong about this which is why I am reaching out to the best pool forum, but most of these are all made overseas. With a sand filter, does it really matter that much what brand I am using? This is also an indoor pool that doesn't get heavy debris like outdoor pools get. I appreciate any thoughts and help!

There are a lot of Hayward clones being made overseas, and Hayward itself supplies their filters for private labeling, mostly to Leslie's. Aske for a picture of the label. Many times, if it is a Hayward, the will be in the "fine print" near the bottom of the label.
What is the warranty? Who will honor it if needed?

Thanks for the response! I will call them and have them send me a picture. They said it's a one year warranty and the pool store I am buying it from is responsible for it. I will have them confirm that again. Thanks!
