Leslie’s says to use dry acid because Muriatic Acid is too heavy and it will sink to the bottom of the spa and ruin the plaster. But dry acid shouldn’t be used because of the sulfates. So how do I add Muriatic in a way that won’t harm my spa?

Is your spa a spillover spa that shares water with your pool?

Run your spa jets while adding acid to mix it and the acid will never reach the spa floor.

It is not a spillover. Separate from pool, but pool and spa share same pump.

The jets is a good suggestion, thank you. How long should I run jets? Since jets then raise pH, should I add a bit more acid to balance that effect?

While you are pouring in the acid. The acid will mix in a minute or two.

Test your spa pH 15 minutes after you add the acid and see what adjustments you need to make.

What is your spa TA?

TA is around 100

I usually brush the spa for a few minutes after I’ve added acid. Does this have the same effect?
Yes, brushing mixes the acid and keeps it from sitting on the floor.

Between brushing and/or running the jets you will be fine.
