Hope everyone is well.
First...this is a setup that I inherited when we purchased the house/pool about 7 years ago. I did not install this.
It is not ideal...the handle on the brass anti-siphon valve is way too small. The issue is the red ball valve is starting to leak a bit when I first turn it when filling the pool (there is a master shut off to this supply along the side of the house...and it is always off unless I am filling the pool).
With that said...does anyone have suggestions for a better set up here? Right now, the thought would just be to cut the pvc below the red ball valve and reconstruct using a bet brass top valve. But I am open to better, more sturdy suggestions.
