Is the tension on this pipe a concern? Should I cut a short length out and reattach with new fitting sleeve on the horizontal return?

I assume these pipes were level and vertical when installed but not certain. Attached some photos below.

I question if cutting it now may be unnecessary and if it fails in the future deal with it then. Would it likely be an elbow that cracks a leak?

The equipment pad is sinking and I have shimmed the equipment in the past, but the filter is a beast. 600 lbs of sand I would rather not shop vac out to be able to shim it better.

I tried jacking the pad up with a floor Jack but only rose about an inch and was a vertical raise where it probably needs to move back toward ms house.

Undo the union and see what the alignment is.

You can cut out a section and add a piece of flex PVC if the part needs to bend or add a coupling if you just need some height or use some 22.5 degree or 45 degree fittings to make adjustments.

The amount of work and cost is prohibitive. I am hoping there are less extreme alternatives.

I think redoing the pad would be a $1-4K and take up to 22 hours depending on if it’s hired out vs diy.
I can guarantee you that the original installer did not use a level or a plumb string when installing the pipes. So don’t get too crazy analyzing it like that.
