Is anyone else having issues with the sharing link in Pool Math changing?

Each time I open the app the link no changes. This is an issue since I use the link in Home Assistant to pull in the info for dashboard.

You're not the one who's got their web request interval to every second are you?

There does seem to be a bug. For now you can work around it by using your user id in the url (which requires "Link from TroubleFreePool.com user profile" to be enabled).

eg: https://api.poolmathapp.com/share/tfp-123456.json

I'll take a look and see why it keeps regenerating...

I haven't changed polling interval and have the same problem. I see the sensors listed as unavailable in home assistant and when I check the pool math app, the link has changed. I'll try the user ID url option and see how that goes.

The user ID option seems to be stable for me. Given the user ID doesn't change, not sure why I'd want to use the other option in the first place, and probably won't be going back. Wish this was mentioned in the documentation for setup in home assistant.

I didn't do the HA addon so I can't speak to that, I only provided an endpoint since they were originally scraping the html page instead which is not an efficient choice for our servers serving the content, nor for them parsing it out.

The reason the share id is there is in case you want to send others a snapshot of your pool so they can help you diagnose issues you're having or something. The share code link gives a nicer human readable HTML page (eg: PoolMath Logs ).

The setting is in your "Pool Setup" (gear icon in the top right) because it's kind of a per pool setting.
To add here, this also requires at this time the user use a TFP account at login. If the user used a Social Login this option will not appear.

That probably the issue. I signed in with Google. If I setup a tfp account now, will I be able transfer the data?

If not, I will probably just wait to see if the changing link issue gets resolved.
