Booster Pump wiring: Can somebody tell me if I'm doing this right?

I have to put in a new motor on my booster pump.

For reasons, I am not 100% confident the current one is wired correctly, so I wanted to test to see if I should wire at 115 or 230.

I wondered if you smart souls could verify what I've done and concluded.

I used a multimeter set to ACV 200 (my other ACV option is 750). I touched one to the ground bar with my circuit breaker, and the other to the circuit breaker screw. I got a reading just over 118.

I am assuming this means I wire at 115. Yes? and did I use the multimeter correctly?

If you have a single-pole breaker, yes you tested correctly, it should be set to 115V. If you have a double-pole breaker (two breakers together), it should be set to 230V. What color are the wires? Usually a colored (other than green) and a white are on the power terminals indicating 115V.

oh heck, I'm glad I asked!

Here is a pic. I think now it's 230V!

The green arrow is where I am touching to ground, The blue is the circuit. When I touch the top screw (red wire) I get 118 or so.
When I touch the middle (white wire), nothing (it's marked neutral), and when I touch the bottom screw, (black wire) I got 120 last time.

Yes, that is a 240V setup. Looks like there is a black and red wire at the power terminals of the motor. There is 120V +/- on each leg that feeds the motor.
The neutral is there for the GFCI portion of that breaker (mostly for testing purposes).
Likely that breaker supplies both the filter and booster pump. If not, and that breaker above is for the filter pump, it should be replaced with a ground-fault, double-pole, 20A breaker.

It controls the panel and I assume the filter and booster pump.

So wire for 230, right? THANK YOU for helping, I'm so glad I didn't do it wrong already!
