Our water is clear . I am having issues of this substance collecting on the bottom( seems to be moving like powder when you brush the pool) and making the bottom of the pool looking like it has stain

Yep! Add 5ppm of chlorine per day until it arrives.
You can use your pH test looks to be about 8. Lower it by .4. Use pool math to figure out how much muriatic acid to add.
Complete all the other tests and report those results. If CYA is high, we may need to replace some water.

This might sound dumb...but I have no idea what 5 ppm chlorine per day means
Should I do the PH first then the liquid chlorine????
And does it matter what brand of liquid chlorine????? Like is Pool essentials ok or Clorox Pool algecide?

Download pool math, configure your pool. Use "effects of adding" to calculate how much chlorine will add 5ppm.This might sound dumb...but I have no idea what 5 ppm chlorine per day means
Either one. Just wait 15 minutes between those additions.
Pool Essentials is excellent. Never use CLOROX, and don't put any algaecide in the pool.
Ok sounds good! I have the app.... I ll give it a go tonight and add some muratic acid and later chlorine

What test kit did you get? Did you get one of the recommended ones? It should have a FAS-DPD FC test, powder and drops. 0870 and 0871.
FC, left side: You have some chlorine in the pool. You should ignore this test and use the FAS-DPD.
pH: 8.2 or higher. Lower your pH in .4 increments until you get to 7.4.
What were your other results?

No remember I got the dPD test kit at Lealies I have the salm drops on the way
This is todays levels for PH and chlorine
It's now finally holding the chlorine but I am having a hard time getting PH down to 7.4

Add enough muriatic acid to lower pH by .4. pump running. Test again 30 minutes later. repeat until your pH is 7.4.

I have DPD test kit but it didn't have the powder and the 0871 and you gave me the link to order just that ...I received it today but don't know how to use it
