Pentair T100 VS T140 - 20x40 pool 4 feet shallow and 8-9 feet deep. pool builder ordered wrong size?

Hi All!

Pool builder ordered a Pentair Sand filter. On our contract it says Pentair sand filter 36". When the filter arrived, I saw it was a TR100. I searched and saw that TR100 is 30" in diameter and T140 is 36" in diameter. Should I talk to my pool builder about this?
And would the TR100 be sufficient enough to filter my 20x40 pool?

The larger the filter the better.

Tell the builder to deliver what is contracted.
 
Yup - his lack of attention to detail and double checking what he ordered should not affect your pool build or written contract.
