Muriatic acid

I've been having to add quite a bit of muriatic acid to get the pH down. Not all at once mind you, just every few days the pH level keeps creeping up to 8 so I add chart indicated amount.
My question is, does muriatic acid's strength lessen over time like liquid chlorine?

No. You can grab a bottle that's been outside for years and it's still good.
