Also, if you run a level string from the top of the pool form across to the house (pictured) how far up the bricks would it be?View attachment 586004
Sorry just saw this comment. They just started Gunite today. I need to check that but i guess it is too late. How much should it be?

From top of patio to top of the pool is 1/2”. Patio is higher.
Top of Patio to top of slab is about an inch lower
So top of pool is 1.5” lower than pool

is this seepage normal? The brownish color. I know it is not plastered yet but wanted to ask. We just did gunite 4 days ago.

Is that rebar stinking out? It is hard to tell in picture. While some seepage may be “acceptable” it should not be brown.
The thing sticking out is plumbing . I don’t know if the seepage color is die to exposure of rebar somewhere in there to water or soil seepage in.
Either way, what is the solution?

Plumbing

I asked the plumber to bypass heater to avoid water going through heater all the time. Water goes through heater only when it needs to be heated.
I also asked to have a valve in spa return to be able to adjust water flow from spa to pool.
Asked to have unions for connection to pump and filter as well.

Good on heater bypass.
Good on having the unions installed on pump and filter.
What are the 3 pipes coming from on the suction side that have 2 red valve handles and 1 blue valve handle?
The 3 way valve between the 3 pipes on right and single pipe on right (spa suction ) can be adjusted to various intervals. Right now the valve is shown open to full suction from both spa and pool suction. Normally one pipe will be closed such as full suction from spa or full suction from the pool.

On the return side - the pipe on far right is spa return (with the check valve) and the pipe on left of the 3-way valve is return to pool. I see close to ground there is a Tee with a fitting in it. Do you know what the plan is for that?

Will you have automation? Do you know if the 3-way valve on the suction side and return side will have valve actuators mounted on them?

Thanks for looking into it…I am not that familiar with plumbing. Can you please mark it up on the picture on both questions you have so i can share with my contractor?

How does one tell if a heater bypass is installed? If it’s not what is the drawbacks or can it be done?

When the heater is installed bypass, salt water doesn’t always go through heater and only gies through heater when you want to heat up water. It helps with longevity of your equipment
