Pool Water level lowering

Good morning or afternoon,
I noticed the water level in my above ground has been getting lower. I noticed it because I always look at the screws on the skimmer frame. The other day I filled to a certain level and have already noticed a decline. I dont think its a liner leak otherwise it would have drained over winter. There are no leaks on the outside around skimmer or the return. I suspect it may possibly be leaking between the skimmer or return (inside of pool) and the outer part of the liner. I am going to monitor the water level over the next few days without filling it. If it stops anywhere around the skimmer plate or the return I'm sure its probably the gasket. I noticed quite a few leak testers on the market. Can someone suggest/recommend one?

Are you referring to leak dye products so that you can try your own DIY testing?

I'm having a hard time visualizing your situation because this is an AGP, but you can't see potential leaking outside? Is the pool martially buried, or am I misunderstand the set-up?

The leak dye products is what I’m seeing when I do a search online. My pool is not partially buried. There are no leaks on the outer part of pool from pump, filter or around skimmer or return. I’ll post this pic I took Saturday. As you can see the water level is just below the screws. Currently the water level is below the screw even more. So I know I’m losing water somewhere.

I see. So if there is a leak, you're concerned it may be slipped between the wall and liner right? Are you seeing any evidence of liner bulge?

Nope, no bulge. Everything looks good. One thing I don’t like is leaks. They drive me nuts and have to constantly add water. So I make sure on the outside of pool there is no evidence of leaks or drips.

And yes I am concerned it’s making between liner and either the skimmer plate or the return.

With no internal or external indications of a leak, have you considered checking your evaporation rate? Maybe the worry is for nothing? Wishful thinking? The link below might be helpful. Also, do you have a waste line from your filter? Did you check to make sure water isn't leaking out to waste without your knowledge?

Yup I thought about evaporation. Still considering it. Definitely not coming out waste line. I just replaced the spider gasket because that was happening and it’s all good now.

You're losing water like everyone else in NY. The last few nights were cool and that causes the evaporation rate to happen more.

Water loss doesn't look all that bad. Did you ever get a chance to try that evaporation calculator link I posted above? Might be in the ballpark.

Really? Wow, I would've never guessed that unless there was rain. Between summer heat and wind water is almost always evaporating.
