Search wasn't helpful. I need to drain 3' of water out of pool

My pool is and has been empty for several years before we purchased it, not worried about it popping out.

Weekly showers here put between 2' to 5' of water in the pool. I'm not trying to raise frogs, we have PLENTY with the nearby pond.

I am unable to use the main drain and pump to get the water out so I'm looking for an inexpensive pump I can toss in to drain it. I've been using a well pump I found in the garage but getting it primed and pumping is becoming a Sisyphean ordeal.

Any recommendations that aren't $300+?
