One thing that's interesting is that I seem to keep getting algae at this same spot at the bottom of the pool in these wrinkles or folds from the liner

just keep your pump wide open 24/7 so you can filter. you should be there in a couple of days. keep back washing. I only use sand as i don't use any other stuff (diatomaceous earth). e your sand will get it CLEAR, Crystal CLEAR.

Pump has been on 24/7 for a while now, since last Thursday night, so we're at about 4.5 days of that.

• June 3
  • 7pm: FC 16, CC 1.0; no OCLT, SWG on 100% to keep up the SLAM
• June 4
  • 8:30am: FC 17, CC 1.0
  • 1:30pm: FC 16.5, CC 0.0 (maybe some CC? it was super faint pink, so < 0.5 to be sure)

It's worth mentioning the deep end is 8 feet.

Without the stoopid clear water, it's not needed anyway. You can still do it for funsies, I go to work early for example so it's no big deal, but some get to sleep in and reallllllly enjoy doing so.

You're definitely getting there though.
