1st time SLAMMER and have some questions

👍🏻 if its an intex style pool be sure to scrub any seams/flaps while doing the
SLAM Process.
It's small, 14 ft round, but not an intex. I have a good Pentair pump and filter. If I pass the OCLT tomorrow morning can I turn the pump off? I managed to vacuum it today from the outside, but didn't get in to scrub nook and crannies of the ladder because the water is burning my skin. I did brush though.

Ladders can be filled with algae- best to yank it out & give it a good scrub inside & out.
Once slam is complete you can return to your normal pump schedule.

Thank you for the tip on the ladder! We just pulled it out. Gonna spray it with a bleach solution tomorrow before i scrub. We drained it but ill dump a little bleach in the holes. I DONT want to start this over again.

Some have also been able to use a pressure washer to really get the inside clean if you happen to have one.
I do and I will! Thank you so much btw about the ladder. My FC SLAM goal is 28. I was holding steady at 21-23 in the sun yesterday SLAMMING every 2 hrs
I was 27 last night thinking I'd be done this morning. FC 17 before sun up! Moving that ladder around had to kick up something.

Keep going 👍🏻
Be sure to check every nook & cranny!
Main Drain if you have one, skimmer, & weir door (including both sides of the foam).
@kellyfair injects a little liquid chlorine into her plastic ladder occasionally to prevent algae city from forming. I recommend that folks with ladders/steps give them a good scrub inside & out at the beginning & end of each season.
Many find they need to modify theirs to either completely seal them up or add extra holes so they get adequate flow of chlorinated water.
If they need to be weighed down, separate weights that are completely sealed should be used. Never pour sand directly into a ladder or steps - it’s impossible to keep clean & makes it hard, if not impossible to remove them.
