Lost 2.5ppm chlorine in 2 days - normal?

Like the title says, lost 2.5ppm of chlorine over the last 2 days. Is this normal this time of year? I’d expect it in summer but not now. I’m in Phoenix and temps were upper 70s, full sun most of the day. CYA at 50. Dosing with liquid chlorine 10%. No SWG. First spring and upcoming summer season as a pool owner. Feel like keeping up with the liquid chlorine is going to be brutal in the summer if I’m already losing so quick.

I am at about that rate of loss. It ramps up quick between now and mid to late April.

Expect 3 or 4 ppm daily loss for the summer. 1.25 per day is still low.

That sounds about right. Also with liquid chlorine that’s been sitting you never quite know the strength unless you test soon after adding.

There's an old Japanese proverb that says the best time to get a SWG was 20 years ago. The 2nd best time is now.

I mean. They were talking about planting trees. But same.
