Not sure what you mean. What were the numbers?today’s test say my pH and TA are out of target range, lower pH!

I guess it says the TA, and pH are out of ideal range for the pool water, not an out of range warning?I see nothing in your posted test reults that is out of range.
Where exactly did you see this out of range warning?
Test your refill water from an outside hose bib close to where your autofill or pool refill connection is located.
Post those results here. Only pH, TA and CH.
ThanksGo into PoolMath and disable "ideal range" display.
This will save you a lot of frustration and chasing a tight "ideal range".
Your pool will be fine and you will be less stressed about a range to stay within.
That’s good to know!! El Dorado Irrigation District has some neat reservoirs it gets its water from! They are just up the road from us and fun to visit! You have some nice fill water right there! Easy to work with and adjust when you add water!
You’ll need to keep the closest eye on fc. You want to be sure to replenish it before you broach minimum or you’ll risk algae & nasties if it falls below.Sunday morning pool test results looking good!
I’m a bit weirded out that I don’t have to continuously add chemicals to the pool.
We moved in October 7 and haven’t taken a dip yet. I thought about firing up the spa to see how long it takes to get hot and then put my trunks on and climb in!

Welcome to the TFP way!!! Kind of nice huh?I’m a bit weirded out that I don’t have to continuously add chemicals to the pool.
Okay, thanks for the advice! You’ll need to keep the closest eye on fc. You want to be sure to replenish it before you broach minimum or you’ll risk algae & nasties if it falls below.
FC/CYA Levels
This time of year with cooler weather & lower uv daily fc demand drops quite a bit so its definitely less work but in peak season you may have up to 5ppm fc loss per day depending upon conditions.
It's for spot checking once you're at one with your pool and expect to have enough FC (and no CC because the block test only measures TC). If the block test is taxi cab yellow at that point, or orange. @ 10+, chances are you have enough FC today. Is there a use for the yellow side of the chlorine/pH test tube?
I’ll add the recommended 64 oz of chlorine and go buy some soda ash today!Your ta is fine. As you manage your ph with acid (once it rises) the ta will also be lowered some.
For fc - right now you’re at minimum for your cya. Dose with liquid chlorine asap to high targetor a scootch higher so you don’t risk broaching minimum before your next test/dose.

You don’t need soda ash- that would increase your ph & taI’ll add the recommended 64 oz of chlorine and go buy some soda ash today!
Oh okay! Thank you, I was looking at the Pool Math recommendations and my reading was 110 instead of the 50-90 target. All of these increase ph & ta

(Soda ash is washing soda)
Acid reduces ph & ta
Your ph & ta are fine you don’t need to adjust them at all.
