Does anyone have installed ColorLogic 320 1.5" LED lights WITHOUT a wall fitting? Issues with our pool builder at every step, this one was too obvious to overlook. The builder ran 1.5" PVC Plumbing pipe from the pool wall and coupled with the PVC electrical conduit. At the end of the plumbing pipe they attached a generic fitting. We were alerted by a sub that the lights weren't fitting tight. Went back to the installation manual and saw they have to use electrical conduit from the light all the way back to the transformer. We're insisting they bust out the plumbing pipe and replace it with the electrical conduit. In addition, the wall fitting used was preventing installation of the light directly into the conduit.
My question: are these lights intended to have a wall fitting, or is it optional? The manual diagrams don't show a fitting image, but it does say in one place: "Use Hayward SP0536, -37, -38 wall fittings." But the plaster goes right up to the back of the light face, right? We're going in circles a bit over here. Thanks for any advice!
