Pentair Intellichlor IC-20
Just curious. My IC 20 does not turn on the good salt or cell LED lights during the self-test.
Pentair says the lights cannot be replaced if they are burnt out.
It seems I am going to have to replace the cell, but I wondered if there is any way to non-destructively access under the indicator panel on the unit.
The unit was manufactured 10/01/2018. P/N 520554. I have replaced the flow switch two times.

When I begin to test my unit,
The only lights on are the flow and the sanitizer output lights.

The test turns them all off then vertically:
Flow briefly turns red.
Cell stays off.
Cold water briefly turns red.
Low salt briefly turns red.
Good salt stays off.

Next, the test immediately turns on the red cold water light and the red low salt light.
The red low salt light starts to rapidly flash, then turns off.
The cold water light stays red.
The sanitizer has the first led green.

Then the cold water light and the flow light briefly flash red.

The test concludes with the green flow light on and the sanitizer output at its original setting.

Salt level is good in the pool.
The 10 amp fuse is good.

Another question is what does the power supply box do? Does it control anything at the cell or is all of that control built in the control panel?

It sounds like you have a depleted cell. 5 years in FL is about the cell life you can expect.

If you pop open the cell you will find the circuit board sealed with thick black epoxy coating used to waterproof it. You can't get into any of the circuitry.

The Power Supply just provides 24-39V DC power to the cell. All controls are in the cell.

I agree. I just ordered a replacement...$944.33 later.

The new unit works perfectly, even on a low-flow pump setting.
I need to add the current sensing mod someone mentioned before to control power to the unit.
Ordered the replacement unit from Aqua Pool Supply. $944.33 with taxes and free shipping.
I am going to try to sell the old unit on eBay. Seems that people want them in any state of condition.
