Hayward HP13023646 HeatPro fan struggling to start

I have a HP13023646 Hayward HeatPro that I believe the fan motor is going out on. The fan struggles to start or won't start at all until you give it a little bump with your hand, then it seems to run just fine. I'm assuming the bearings are going out and it needs to be replace. The problem is, I can't seem to find anything that specifies exactly which fan motor is a replacment for it. I even have the model and information from the fan motor, but that hasn't helped much yet, either. The model of the fan is K55HXNDY-0875 and it's a 1/3 HP, 825 R.P.M, 60Hz, 2.4 amp, 208-230 volt unit. Any ideas? Thank you for the help.

I wondered about that. Especially since the fan still runs very quiet after it gets going. Either way, I'm still unable to find the exact part I need at this point because I can't seem to find anything for that model number.

Just look at the start capacitor. There may be one or two or there might be a combined capacitor. The capacitance and voltage rating will be on the capacitor itself. You can test it with the right multimeter or just change it out and see if that helps. HVAC caps are mostly less than $50, available on Amazon (or any HVAC supply shop), and it’s simple to swap out. Just make sure the power to the unit is off at the breaker and discharge the capacitor by shorting it’s leads with an insulated handle screwdriver.

I went out to take a better picture of the unit and ended up finding a plaque with the actual model number on it! The model I thought was it was printing right on the front sticker next to "HeatPro" so of course you would think that would be the right model, right? Wrong. The actual model is HP21404T. So that makes things much more simple. I think I will start with just the capacitor first and see if that takes care of the problem. Thank you for all the help.

You can also get the compressor capacitor at the same time to have if you need it.

You can get two separate capacitors or you can get one dual capacitor.

I would get the dual and just use the fan part and that way you have the compressor part available if you need it.

This is cheaper than buying two separate capcaitors.

Always make sure the capacitor is the correct size in microfarads with the same tolerance and that the voltage matches and is either the same or higher (you can use a 440V capacitor in place of a 370V cap but you can never use a 370 to replace a 440).
