I know it has been a few months, but this is the thread with the most on-topic comments on what I am looking to find about. I have an easytouch PSL4 with firmware 1.050. Im pretty sure thats a fairly old version, and I dont know if that is too old for the J23 upgrade trick to work.

Did anyone know what the firmware version where they started combining firmware versions was?

Moved from here.

If you have V1.05 you probably have a Version 1 board. The firmware version on an Easytouch 1 board is frozen in time at 1.060. The J23 hack will not work on Version 1 firmware.

Version 1 are EasyTouch boards shipped prior to 5/5/2008. They cannot be programmed with version 2.010 or higher. The flash memory on the older board is a MC9S12A64 1x16x64k device and doesn't have enough flash memory for the new firmware.

Version 1 Easytouch will do basic VS control of a IntelliFlo pump. Version 1 Easytouch will not control using Flow Rate with Intelliflo VSF pumps.

Version 2 of EasyTouch uses a C9S12A128 1x16x128k device with double the memory.

Hey, thanks for your response, sorry I missed it, I must not have notifications on correctly.

I just bought it in April , so if its truly on the version 1 board, I'll be surprised, and I will need to have a talk with the company I bought it from.

There are 2 labels on the back of the board, the first says this, which shows the expected date:
Order PCBA 522424
Firmware P/N: 522456 Ver: 1.05
Date: 02/16/23

There is another label with what looks like a seral number, a barcode, and the text:
520615 - V2.190

The PCB also has directly printed on it in silscreen printing: PCB ASSY # 520484

I'm trying to decide if this is new old stock, or a repair/refurbish that someone changed the label on - If I should complain to the people I purchased it from, or they truly do still ship boards with this revision in 2023.

Lots of bugs out tonight, so I didn't want to stay there looking for the actual chip information, but I can check on that tomorrow.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Hey that's a new board... it's just got a 1.x firmware because it's a "Lite" (indicated by the PSL part)... the Lites still show a 1.x firmware but they do have the larger chips that Allen was referring to. That other sticker shows it's got 2.190 which is the latest, and all of the lite boards I've seen have come with that small 2.x sticker. Snip it!

Thanks for the insight.
Is there any reason I should clear out schedules or circuits from screenlogic that I have made?

Will I have to reprogram all that after the snip, or it will all get pulled over?

Thanks again all.

i wouldn't clear anything out... but i'd make sure you know what's there. i'd imagine it all gets pulled over but i can't say for sure. this is a do at your own risk kind of thing
