Many times before I took over. The heater is not even 2 years old yet. It's mostly cosmetic, but you need to worry about the heater leaking as the copper has been compromised.

How can I feed bromine consistently? There is a Pentair 320 installed that we are using, It feeds either far too much or none at all.You need to be careful about bromine interference causing false high pH readings.
How many tablets are you putting in the feeder? There is a Pentair 320 installed that we are using, It feeds either far too much or none at all.
What heater do you have? The copper has been compromised.
That is a wonderful theory but I asked a separate question on a thread, it was not off-topic and was not from my thread. The thread I asked the question in was not locked and the confusion was caused by the moderator moving my posts around. I have been using forums for 20 years so I know a little bit about etiquette. If you have some input on the questions I asked I am all ears. The moderator who moved your thread was trying to help you. Scattering your story over 2-3 posts causes confusion for everyone and the moderator was trying to put it all together.
Keep your story under one thread so everyone can follow and possibly help you.
When I try to reduce the flow in the feeder by dialing down a bit it essentially stops feeding. I let the FC drop down to 2 and the feeder was nearly empty today so I added 10 bromine tabs. I will see how that works. How many tablets are you putting in the feeder?
Most likely, you are overfilling the feeder and this causes the bromine to go too high.
So, you close the valve, but the bromine continues to dissolve in the feeder creating a superconcentrated soup of liquid bromine that will flow out the second you open the valve again.
It is a RaypakB-R266A-EP-C. It is not leaking yet. I need to shut it down and clean it. I have not cleaned a heater. I can look it over then. What heater do you have?
Can you monitor for leaks?
It's highly likely that, at some point, the heater is going to spring a leak, so you should be prepared to deal with it when it happens rather than lose service for a week while you try to get parts etc.
Filled to the topWhat is the most tablets that you or anyone has ever put in the feeder at one time?
That's a really bad idea.Filled to the top
Just expect to deal with a leak at some point. It is a RaypakB-R266A-EP-C. It is not leaking yet.
Not since I have been running it. I think I'm going to change it to LB. I have a couple of Stenner pumps, the pool is LB so adding anther pump and tubing should not be too much work. That's a really bad idea.
The tablets are continuously soaking in the water in the feeder, so you cannot control the amount of bromine with just the valve.
Even if you close the valve all the way, the bromine tabs continue to dissolve and when you open the valve, the superconcentrated liquid bromine goes into the water and shoots the Bromine level through the roof and this also lowers the pH to dangerously low level.
However, the high bromine interferes with pH test and makes it read much higher than it really is.
Has the water ever turned yellow?

Oh, should have been LC. liquid bleachWhat is LB?
