I have what is hopefully an easy question.
When our pool equipment was first set up, our filter pump and floor system were programmed and were set for daily scheduled operation.
Both of these systems work in freeze protection.
I deleted the floor system from the daily operation schedule.
Recently, I added it back via the app. My question is...
do I have to re-program everything in order for the floor system to operate properly? Or is just adding it back to the main screen enough for operation ? I'm trying to figure out if it's a valve issue, or a programming issue.
Anyone ? *fingers crossed*

You can control it, but not program it. But that is for sure an older system. Check the rev like Allen suggests and see what is needed for the upgrade. With an older system you might luck out and find the components on eBay for a few hundred.

For the OneTouch, I just happened to have recently made a video on how to install it. Anyone with basic knowledge and the desire to save money should be able to install it. You should be able to fully program the system from the OneTouch. This video will probably help you with a lot of questions on the Aqualink.

I'm so happy I found this thread !! I watched the video, and just have a question about programming from the OneTouch. Thank you for this !!
When our pool equipment was first set up, our filter pump and floor system were programmed (by a professional) and were set for daily scheduled operation.

Not knowing any better, I deleted the floor system from the daily operation schedule.
Recently, I added it back via the app. My question is...
Can I re-program the floor system using the OneTouch ?? Are there step-by-step instructions on the device that make it fairly easy ? Or should I really just contact a professional ?

Hello Brannysue and welcome to TFP! Sorry about bouncing your threads around a bit. One was posted to an old thread and then we realized you had another one created, so best we just keep everything together. We have lots of folks here familiar with various automation configurations, so don't worry, TFP can help, just not me. :) Ha. I'll tag @Jimrahbe to see if he has any experience. If not, I know we have other members who do, so just stick close to this thread for more replies. Post back as much as you need to as well.

In the meantime, also be sure to visit our Pool Care Basics page for tons of great info, and don't forget to update your signature with all of your pool and equipment info. See my signature and the link below for help if needed. Enjoy the forum. :swim:

Can you post pics of what you added back?

Did you setup a schedule in the Aqualink for when the IFCS is to run?

Do you mean you deleted the OneTouch button that activated the feature, or you deleted just the scheduling for the feature? OneTouch buttons are typically used when multiple things need to happen at the same time for a feature to activate.

Thanks for your response, I'm so new to this. I deleted the scheduling for the feature. This being said, I contacted iAqualink and they said that I MAY have to re-program everything. The main thing I'm trying to figure out is if we have a bad actuator or if I somehow messed something up when I deleted it from my home screen on the app. We have a pool/spa combo with booster pump. When I turn on the in-floor cleaning, one of the return valves is not opening up and the pop-up heads in the pool are not being activated, although the ones in the spa are. Basically, the only "in floor" cleaning is happening in the spa, when it should be circulating throughout the whole pool. I've been trying to research this on my own, but not really getting anywhere. The "OneTouch" comes into play simply because I saw the pool professional using it at the actual panel and thought I may have to use it to re-program something. The valve opens when using the dipstick, it's just not happening with me adding back the in-floor system and scheduling in the app.

Post pics of your equipment pad, valves, and actuators.

Point out what is the "dipstick" that makes the valve open.

@proavia knows about IFCS.

I added the "floor system" back and I set the schedule as it used to be. I probably explained things better in response to PoolGate..

Take screen prints of your phone/app and show us what you added back.

Can you post a picture of your schedule? You said you tried to add it back but it is not working correctly right? Also just FYI the JVAs have a button on the bottom. That button has 3 positions. Foreword, stop and reverse. You could try it in another position if the issue is the valve is not going where it should.

The "dip stick" is the button that can be moved to auto, off, or manual on the back/bottom of the valve.

That is not what most toggle switches on actuators do. Their positions are ON1 - OFF - ON2. ON1 and ON2 move the valve 180 degrees.

That is why I want to see what you have. One of us doesn't understand something.

I have THAT toggle switch. I'm still trying to learn all of this terminology, sorry. I know what you mean, and the valve DOES move as it should when I toggle it-in both directions. I will take a picture in the morning. In the meantime, I am going to put the switch in the ON1 position. Thanks for your help. I'll post back.

If the actuator rotates 180 degrees when the toggle switch changes position then it shows the actuator is good and getting power from the Aqualink.

The a actuator button has been in On1 the past few days and has not worked. Would it hurt the pool if I put it on On2 to see if it works when the pool and floor system come on in the morning ? Will the pool drain out or anything crazy ? I'm wondering if this IS a programming issue. Thoughts ?

Yes, it can hurt and get your RETURN and SUCTION valves out of synch. They both need to be on POOL or SPA at the same time. The only reason to change the toggle switch is to synch up the actuators.

We are trying to take you though a series of structured diagnostics while you want to play a guessing game.

Does your system work properly when in POOL mode and SPA mode? Do both actuators turn when changing between those modes?

Thanks for trying to help me. I have decided to get someone out here to give me some lessons on the pool operations and do a type of "pool school" before I mess anything up. Again, thank you.

Sorry, been on vacation and just got back.

Not sure I can help any with the "floor system" setup in the automation - but will try to assist if the OP has any questions specific to the IFCS equipment itself.
