Does anyone know of a way to put calibrated (pints?) lines on an acid jug?

I use very little acid, (30% stuff), so it is easy to go over. Basically one pint +/- a few ounces takes my from 7.8 to 7.4 depending on my wrist action. I'd like to be more accurate without pouring it into another marked container.
I was thinking tape that could be stuck to a new bottle, but I'm not finding anything.
Ideas? Acid jokes? ...

I pre-dilute acid in 5 gallon bucket before dumping it in the pool. I use this to measure out acid and chlorine

You can use a magic marker to make lines or maybe a plastic measuring cup.

I as hoping for a roll of calibrated tape. I guess maybe I'll make my own.

This is not TFPC recommended. Please do not handle acid twice. See Acid - Further Reading

If you buy the same brand always - take an old jug, rinse it out. Then measure water into it. Mark with marker and store somehwere. Then whenever you buy new jug put it side by side and transfer markers to it.

yeah, I have in-floor cleaning system, no return jets. I'd have to constantly move around the pool to catch in-floor valve that's actually blowing. Damping the acid in one place and brushing... I don't know about it sitting on plaster while I am slowly pouring it and I don't always have time to properly brush and redistribute. If there is a better way to do it, I'd like to know, but so far I have not found anything that works well.

For a hot tub, I can see needing to be very accurate with the acid, but for a pool, you should not need a lot of accuracy.

Or, maybe just use half the amount and test before adding again.

I always measure mine for my hot tub. Often I am adding one ounce. It cannot be eyeballed. I take an 8oz marked cup, fill it with about 5 oz of water, and then add an ounce of acid.
