I guess that rules out testing error. Yesterday I did clean my chlorine tube with alcohol. I tested my water this morning and added my powder and swirled it for about 4 minutes to try and match the length of time my wife talked before my test last night. Once I start dropping I don't stop. My OCLT failed with a whopping 4.5 FC loss. Maybe it's still testing error as I'm running out of things to try. I might clean the filter again. Maybe I need to brush my pool earlier rather than an hour before taking my night OCLT reading. So long as you used a sufficient amount of powder (slightly heaping scoop) you’re goodpausing a little before adding the drops shouldn’t hurt anything, pausing while adding the drops is what can skew the results.
