Pool filled, follow to see a complete newb hopefully figure it out

Ok, I’ll take that as go to the store and get it. I noticed that dry stabilizer also lowers ph so can/ should I add dry stabilizer and LC and then wait on MA and see where my ph falls?
See next response...I missed current FC (thread confusion).

CYA is a mild acid and will lower your pH by 0.1-0.2. You need more than that.

Lower your pH to 7.8 and let the CyA do the rest.

Sorry, a little flustered so I’m sure that’s my fault. I was going to go with dry stabilizer but remembered my skimmer is currently off so I’ll go with the liquid. I’ll report back after adding and retesting

What should be the sequence as far as what to focus on first for cya, fc, ph?

chlorine is king. Add that first.
Add 30ppm of CYA using the sock method.
pH is just fine. For now keep it in the 7s. When it hits 8.0, use muriatic acid to reduce to 7.5

Ok, just left the store with the supplies. I bought liquid stabilizer. I’ll add chlorine first thing. My ph is above 8 currently. I’ll attach the pool store results, they were pretty close to mine. Just wanted to kinda check results.

So chlorine, MA, then stabilizer? How much time in between additions of different chemicals?

15 minutes between is fine.
Ok, added 56oz of chlorine which I thought would bring me closer to 3 but it’s sitting at
FC 1.5
CC 1

Added 30oz of MA
Currently 7.8

Do those chlorine numbers indicate an issue or should I just add more?

Regarding cya as I said previously my skimmer won’t be running until Friday and the liquid says to add to the skimmer.

Suggestions for these things please and thank you

Add more chlorine.

Your CC of 1 indicates you may have some algae taking hold from when you had no chlorine.

If your skimmer is not running where is your pump taking water in from?

Post pics of your pool and equipment.

Added about 50 more oz. I believe the pump is getting water from the infloor but honestly I’m not 100% sure that’s how it works. Pics to follow of equipment

Tested again after the additional 50 oz of LC about an hour ago and
FC 3.5
CC 0.5

If I understand correctly this is good and now I should leave it alone and retest in the morning before the sun comes up. If I am 2.5 FC or above it means everything is good as far as algae?

On to cya, should I wait until Friday morning when they come back and open the skimmer line or how would you suggest I proceed? I’ve got two gallons of liquid stabilizer and my cya is about 0

I would pour the liquid conditioner all around the perimeter of the pool. So don’t pour it in one spot. Pour it slowly as you walk around the pool. And mix it well as liquid conditioner tends to separate with the heavier active ingredient being a sludge on the bottom of the bottle.

Test a few trines a day and keep your FC between 3 and 4 ppm.

Put more water in the jug after pouring and swirl. Re-pour. Do this until you are sure all the CYA is out of the jug.

Just to confirm this is all ok with brand new pebble correct? I thought I read that day 3 is when you should start adding something but I can’t exactly remember. Just wanted to double check

Best we got!!!!

I guess that is where I am confused. It says after 72 hours to start adding chlorine and cya? Is that 72 hours after fill or the pebble was done? Mine only just finished filling this morning.
