Jandy AquaLink Heater/SWG Problem

I have the Jandy Acqualink with the remote (model R0687300). I can use the remote to turn on the salt water generator and the heater. As soon as the remote is turned off (either manually or timed out), both the heater and salt water generator are also turned off.

If I use Service mode, both the heater and salt water generator will remain on. The SWG is working and producing chlorine. The heater is also working properly.

I have tried turning off the power and circuit breakers and restarting. I have tried taking the batteries out of the remote and restarting. Nothing seems to be working.

Would appreciate some thoughts.

Welcome to TFP.

It sounds like you have an Aqualink PDA system. Your remote is the PDA.

You PDA manual is here -- https://cdn.fluidrausa.com/-/media/...4200.pdf?rev=b49669faa0434941832d606d98c440e2

@PoolGate can help with the PDA operation

I do have that system - had it for 5 years now. The heater and SWG can turn on using the remote. As soon as I hit the power off button on the remote, both the heater and SWG turn off. The only way to keep everything on is to use service mode. Any thoughts on a fix?

Has it been doing that for the 5 years you have had it?

When did the behavior begin?

Same thing happens. Heater and SWG turn off.

When you say "turn off" for the SWG do you mean it goes to 0% production? Or the pump turns off, also turning the SWG off? The heater has a pressure switch so without the pump, it would also appear to turn off. Perhaps it is just the pump that is turning off??
