Check valve for little giant cover pump

I have a little giant cover pump that sits on my auto cover. The 3/4 discharge garden hose is slightly uphill and what’s left in the hose runs back to the cover causing the pump to cycle.

Has anyone used a check valve at the cover pump which fits on a 3/4 garden hose? It would need to be able to activate at somewhat lower pressure and minimal flow restriction.

Maybe this blaster accessory would work better than a hose for you, depending on the size of your pool and what is around the pool.

3/4 in. MNPT x FHT PVC Swivel

One of these (may be available in plastic):

3/4 in. MHT x 3/4 MIP or 1/2 in. FIP Brass Multi Adapter Fitting

One of these (Be sure the arrow is pointing away from the pump):

3/4 in. FIP x FIP PVC Threaded Check Valve

I hadn’t heard of this, pretty cool! I have the garden hose plugged into my hard-plumbed backwash line though and want to keep the water out of the yard.

Better, not likely. Just less expensive.
