@duraleigh The Smart Stir is indeed labeled Ciblanc.. I just find that name very clunky so I refer to them as Smart Stirs. Ciblanc Smart Stirs are what we sell at TFtestkits.
@jesse-99 Jesse-99 has emailed me and I've responded, but I figured I would take the opportunity to post what I told them for the community at large.
I've seen this issue more than a few times and
in every single case, the issue is solved by replacing the batteries with brand-new AA batteries. As mentioned in the thread linked above, rechargable batteries often do not work for long with the Smart Stir for reasons I am not sure of. I always offer a replacement if the unit is less than a year old and the customer sends their apparently malfunctioning unit back to me. EVERY TIME, I get the unit out of my mailbox, put some new batteries in it, and it works perfectly.
It makes me question everything - are the users pressing the button down firmly enough? Are they putting the batteries in backwards when they replace them? Why does the Smart Stir work as long as the button is pressed?? The answers, I do not know. What I do know is
replacing the batteries with brand-new batteries always works.
