Pentair Supermax VS Error Code 001A

Hi All, I have looked through previous forum messages and can't seem to figure this one out, any help appreciated.

Pump seems to turn on but intermittently turns off... sometimes after 5 minutes, sometimes after 30 minutes. Sometimes it gives error code 0017 but most of the time I see error code 001A.

I cleaned out basket, stuck in a screw to loosen anything and rotate impeller, attempted to stick a hex screw in the back. No change.

I opened my breaker box and tested the breaker. Reading 250 L1 to L2. Tested each connector and saw 120 V connector to ground.

Any thoughts?

I just spoke to a pool guy and he says since it is getting electricity, starting, but then stopping it may be a capacitor problem. Does that make sense? If so where is the capacitor located?

Yes I did. And that's why I checked my breakers. Voltage seems good.

There's no capacitor.

Did he understand that it was a VS pump?

How old is the pump?
