New house. I hired a pool contractor to do some upgrades and show me around but I forgot to ask him one question - how do I know how much DE to add in after backwash? The filter label is kinda worn.

It's a purex triton nautilus FNS. I see online it comes in 4 sizes but I can't find any sort of dimensions. I'm wondering if I could just measure the diameter and match it to one of them?

Sounds like you figured it out. Next time you disassemble the filter, measure the grids. You should be able to to compare dimensions to online replacements to confirm your findings.

4.8 lbs. but you may want check this out ....https://www.inyopools.com/blog/how-much-de-to-add/
FNS60 Manual says 6 lbs of DE for a clean filter. Add 5 lbs (80%) of DE after a backwash.

Rule of thumb - 1lb per every 10 square feet.
