Looking for best solution for Dolphin Sigma getting stuck on main drains

I finally splurged and got a dolphin Sigma and love it so far except for the fact that it gets hung up on at least one or both of the main drains each time which is really annoying. I turn the pump off when I run it but it still gets stuck. I'm sure this is probably a fairly common issue with these cleaners. I've watched some videos of the clips you can install on the drains but wondering if that's the best fix or if there's something that works even better. I don't mind spending more money on new drain covers or whatever it takes for the robot to not ever get stuck.

Thanks in advance!

Anyone? Just figured this was most likely a problem others had faced. Thanks in advance to anyone that might have some input. I'm thinking about either trying 2 of those clips (criss cross pattern) on each drain or else maybe some other kind of drain covers that might not cause it to get stuck on them.

I'm kinda in the same boat. I bought the clips and put them in a cross pattern, but just noticed that it still got stuck on it.. Will watch it some more. But will continue to look for another solution just in case

I'm having the same issue with my new Sigma. I can't get clips from Main Drain Clip-On because they don't make them for the kind of drain cover I have. I just called Maytronics customer service and they said they have a fix. They can install another roller and the customer service person said this fixes the problem. We'll see. Unfortunately you have to pay to ship your unit to them. They will pay for the return shipping, but after they get it, it takes 7 to 10 days for them to fix it and then 4 to 5 days for them to ship it back. So, having to ship it and be without it in leaf season, which was the main reason I bought it, is unfortunate. But, hopefully it will work!

Did the new roller fix the problem? I have the same issue and would like to find a solution.

I used a sheet of self adhesive Teflon cut to fit on the suggestion of another user (MarkTX). Applied to the bottom of the Dolphin, it reduced the friction enough to keep it from getting stuck!

Where do you put this Teflon - mine gets stuck constantly and the main drain clip on doesn’t work after calling the gentleman there he said he doesn’t have a solution for the sigma yet.
