Never lube Jandy Valve

My pool was built in 1996. I thought I had a routine rebuild on my 3 port Jandy Neverlube diverter valve. I ordered the rebuild kit on-line for model 4720 as it fit the description of my valve. However the internal diverter assembly part in the kit, though the correct size, did not fit due to a new design on the bottom of the diverter. I'm assuming my old diverter has been discontinued as I cannot find it on Jandy's and other pool web sites. There is no part number on my old diverter so I'm having problems finding a compatible replacement part.
Replacing the entire valve will be expensive and labor intensive. Any ideas and advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Show us a picture of the old diverted and the new kit you purchased. Point out the place where the it will not fit correctly.

PS - I have 20 year old pool with Jandy diverters and planned to buy a kit as well. So thanks for posting this potential issue.

Are the old valves gray with a grease fitting?
Check or call InyoPools. They are pretty good at helping find older replacement parts

Are you sure the valve is a Jandy? Since you have all Hayward equipment, you man actually have Hayward valves with Jandy handles. All valve handles have fit all valves for many years. Sometimes a builder will lose the handle but have several Jandy handles (they are everwhere) and just use one of those.
