I have a pretty new (3 months) 10,000 Gallon, SWG, pebbletech pool. I’ve been tryin to lower my ph to 7.4-7.6 and my Alkalinity to 80. I’ve added 3 Lbs of dry acid 1 lb at a time over the last two weeks! Neither reading has budged, holding at 7.8 and 120. What am I missing here? Testing with the Taylor 2006c kit. Otherwise the pool is crystal clear!

pH in the 7’s is fine.
It is advisable to not use sodium bisulfate aka dry acid if you have a SWCG. The sulfates prematurely fail the cell.

Welcome to TFP!

Using dry acid with a SWG is not recommended as dry acid adds sulfates to the water which shorten the life of the SWG.
Use muriatic acid instead. Home Depot, Lowes, Ace Hardware and pool stores should carry it.
Look for the 31.45% MA.

With a SWG, attempt to keep the CSI in the 0.00 to -0.30 range to minimize scaling in the SWG.
