SWG and new VSP

Pool Math app indicates I need to add chlorine. I do it by running my SWG for the # of hours it tells me. I recently got a VSP after having a single speed one. I didn’t see anywhere in the app to change that. Does it make a difference what speed I run it on??

It needs to be fast enough to close the SWG's flow switch. Usually 1200 rpms or so. Experiment to see what it needs.

BTW: Pump runtime is one criteria the other is the percent your SWG is set to.

FYI, most people with SWGs and VSP run their VSP 24x7 at low RPM to always produce small amounts of chlorine. I run mine 24x7 at 50%. That keeps my chlorine level at 7 with my CYA level of 70.

First things first, get your chlorine ppm in the zone by using liquid or you risk an algae bloom the longer you wait. Best to adjust down from too high FC rather than too low especially during peak demand.
