Replacement motor for Hayward superpump advice

Hi, My super old hayward 1hp ( i believe) superpump motor burned up and am looking for a replacement to use in the existing impellar housing. The motor is A.O Smith and is model c48k2n143b1 . Haveing a hard time getting a model number century brand or other) that will work as a direct replacement. Thanks

Check out inyopools.com for a swap out motor, a VS motor is the way to go, I swapped out my 2.hp Hayward super pump II for their 2.7 HP Vgreen VS , You'll need a Go kit and seal, plus a gasket, they should advise you with correct swap out components.

This is what I bought to replace the Hayward 1HP Super Pump. It's gone up in price in just the last few weeks. Looks like it up to over $187. I got it for around $147 2 months ago. But if you want to save on energy cost, I would recommend a VSP
