I just filled with sand hooked it up. Brand new out of box. It gets power but the pump makes no noise and no water circulating. The gfci has been reset mutliple times but I’ve noticed the light stays red. My swg has green light. My husband says has nothing to do with it but I think something is faulty. I’m exhausted and so tired of setting things up. I have people coming over and can’t wait for yet another filter
Any ideas?

You have it plugged into outlets or extension cords?

Post pics of your setup and maybe someone will spot something.

Yes was extension, exact same thing I had the other pump plugged into. The swg still works on it. It’s plugged into a power strip inside garage. I went from 2150 to 3000 gph pump

Wondering if I can just replace the gfci?

You don't know if the GFCI is defective or the GFCI is doing its job in protecting against a failure in the pump.

For safety reasons you should just return the pump.

Every pool pump must have a GFCI.
