Hi All,
Just checking my logic here on this excellent site. I just picked up a new Everbilt 1-1/2hp variable speed pool pump from someone locally (not from Home Depot, who I’m told makes these pumps).
I want to confirm that the wiring I plan on doing will be correct. As seen in the pictures below, the label says that the pump is 230 volts. The junction box has a White wire, a Black wire and a ground wire.
The technician on the phone said “yeah, hook up the two hot wires from the wall to the two in the junction box — one supply line to white, the other to black”. He did not sound super confident…
These look so much like wires for 110 volts that I am having some hesitation… does it sound correct to you guys/gals?
