But when I was watching how to do the slam it says you need to do it if your CC level is .5 or above. My level is 0 so I’m not sure if slam is what I need to do…according to TFP I need to lower my TA and CH…but what do I do first?
No. Your CYA of 30 is good for the SLAM. If you add more you would need to use more chlorine.Ok… should I be adding a stabilizer ?
Ok…the slam process is confusing to me…I can’t figure out how to use the pool math. I know…. I’m dense!! I don’t know what numbers to put into the blank spaces on the chart…I e tried filling it out numerous times but it doesn’t help on how much of bleach to add for slamming!!
This is the pool math calculator everyone’s uses right?
The Smartphone App is definitely easier to use if you have a compatible device. You can use that old Pool Math if you can stand the colors, but the new Pool Math is an app for your phone or tablet.
For iOS, go to Pool Math by TroubleFreePool
For Android, go to Pool Math by TFP - Apps on Google Play
The pic you sent earlier looked like the old Pool Math webpage-Now I’m super confused…I have the pool math app and that’s what i have..the picture I sent earlier. Is there a different app?

OP has a K-2005 and added the FAS-DPD kit. Scranny, if your CYA is 30, you don't need to add any now. You may at some point, but the liquid stuff is hard to add in partial amounts because it likes to settle at the bottom of the jug. If it were me, I'd return that, and buy some dry/granular stabilizer to have on hand for when you need to boost your CYA.What are your latest pool water chemistry test results using your own proper test kit?
