18x36 Inground pool build in Maryland

Thoughts/opinions on waterline tiles? Of course only the “basic” tile comes with the package and the glass tiles look really nice in the magazine. Worth the upcharge?
Glass is nice but needs a very skilled installer. I have seen a number of people here who had glass and were unhappy with how the mastic (thinset - whatever) was applied and how cuts were made.

Everything is looking great! Glad to see the cover lid upgrade and extra concrete. You will always appreciate those choices.

I keep a tall stack of the cheap plastic chairs in the shed. Over the years they've gotten good use at larger gatherings. These days, I've accumulated enough better pieces so they aren't usually needed, but it took time.

Yea I don’t think we’re in any hurry to get the high end furniture just yet. Seriously though, and Amish made Adirondack chair is going for $395, a single chair! That’s madness.

We go to a place in Lancaster, PA. Not sure where you are in southern MD, but might be worth a drive if you really load up. www.lancasterpolypatios.com

Good quality? Those prices are about half of what I’ve seen locally.

Yeah, destruction is always underestimated. But some grading, grass and time makes it all better later. But if you have dogs it’s going to be a muddy winter.

Compact pad but fairly simple so it all works and is still accessible.

The crew showed up at 715am on Saturday and knocked out the steel. I didn’t get a chance to look at it while they were here but I did notice that there’s nothing for the step off of the tanning ledge. I assume that was an oversight that I’ve contacted them about.8D7C8A0E-4F71-4F75-9259-500E990E2AA7.jpeg

Lots of times there isn't rebar in the step...they just use gunite and form it by hand.
