Hi all - I recently had the easytouch 8 system added to my pool along with the wireless ScreenLogic system. I have a NG raypak 400k heater. The issue is when I adjust the temp in the ScreenLogic app it does not change the temp on the heater. I noticed this bc I had the ScreenLogic set at 85 degrees for 2 days and ghe pool never got above 82. I looked at the heater and it was set to 84 and was reading a water temp of 84 so therefore turned itself off I guess? I realize the water temps will vary but I want the ScreenLogic to set the desired temp and it’s water temp reading to determine on/off for the heater. Any help?

Easy: set the Raypak to its highest temperature and leave it there. Set the desired temperature in the EasyTouch. Assuming you have a sensor sending water temperature to the ET, the ET will turn the heater on and off as needed.

gt,

What RJS says above.... :thumleft:

Plus, just to make sure.. The heater's fireman's loop must be connected to the Gas heater connection on the EasyTouch's main board.. All the EasyTouch does is close the Fireman's loop which tells the heater to heat.. If the heater itself is set to 84 that is as hot as the water will ever get.

Thanks,

Jim R.

Two things you should do. Set the temp on the heater to 104, this is max temp. You will need to take the heater out of remote mode to changer the set point temp and then put it back in remote mode. Then since your Screenlogic is a few degrees below the heater, you will need to calibrate the temp sensor on the pentair system.

Something must be hooked up incorrectly. I set the ET to 65 and the heater to 104 and the heater comes on immediately. Is this an easy fix or do I need to call the installer back out?

Also on the ScreenLogic app on my phone there are two buttons at the bottom off and heater. If I turn off (click the off button so it is green) the heater still runs?

Sorry but I do not understand how to put in remote mode and how to sync up pentair system. If you have time could you explain the steps. Thanks!

Check and make sure that the wire between the heater and the ET is good. You also might need to check how that wire connects inside the heater. It should be connected to either the pool or spa wire and common. Then you would select that one on the front of the heater, crank the temp to 104, then put it in remote mode.
