Hi All, i installed a cv flowvis after my electric heater. And have couple questions:
1) according to info plaque of my heater i can run 30-60 gpm but when pump at 3000 rpm only reading 40 gpm thru heater, should i take 1 spring or both spring off the flow cv?

2) Those with electric heater do you bypass the heater completely when not in use or crack open bypass to allow certain gpm thru heater?

3) At what gpm the heater is more efficient, high or low gpm? I have rheem 119k btu electric.

By "electric heater" you mean a Heat Pump?

40 GPM is within spec. Why are you looking to remove springs?

2) Those with electric heater do you bypass the heater completely when not in use or crack open bypass to allow certain gpm thru heater?

Doesn't matter. But you then have to remember to open the bypass before you turn on the heater.

3) At what gpm the heater is more efficient, high or low gpm? I have rheem 119k btu electric.

Does not matter as long as water flow is within spec and HP is operating it puts the same amount of BTUs into the water.

Yes heat pump, i read somewhere more gpm thru heater transfer heats better i would have to call rheem and ask. Read also somewhere some removes one spring dont remember why lol

Speak to raypack/rheem support and they said higher gpm not to pass highest rated for heater 30-60 gpm, heater is more efficient on transfering heat than at lower gpm (meaning less heat transfer).
