Putting Sta-Rite Heater Guts into a Pentair MasterTemp Housing

Would it be possible (easy) to put the guts from a Sta-Rite Max-E-Therm heater into the housing from a Pentair MasterTemp heater?

Why do I ask? Because the Pentair MasterTemp housing appears to be a lot simpler to rodent proof.

Sell your Starite and buy a MasterTemp. It will be easier.

I doubt you can buy all the MasterTemp cabinet parts you need at a reasonable price. Unless you buy a broken MasterTemp or two and cannibalize them for parts.

Depends what your time is worth.
 
I know the internals are the same. Just concerned of some peripheral part differences. Parts like the manifold or exhaust or harness connectors for control panel. Was wondering if anyone knew about any differences.
 
Compare the part numbers in the parts list. The common parts have the same part number.
