I am not at all sure, but I would say they look very similar to yours, and the fact that there is no rust with all that water makes me think so as well!
Okay, it is nice to see someone else had all that algae, LOL. It was horrifying! I had just been watching youtube videos and people pulled liners out and it didn't look near as bad under there...

That's interesting about the liner fade, I wasn't aware! I didn't really mind the white, actually, it was just annoying when my iron staining got out of control, and of course any spec of dirt... but when the water had the iron in suspension and it was clean, it was very very blue water.

Oh, yeah, you guys are certainly right. It looks so much better. It kind of sucked having a pool that was so...ugly. LOL. The liner had stains all over that I gave up on, the coping was all faded, and the steps are dirty.. Just painting the coping already made a big difference, and now the liner. We are hoping to scrub up the steps as the final step, but refinishing them wasn't in the budget - did you do it yourself as well @milesvdustin ? How was the process?

It looks really good! It makes a world of difference doesn’t it? You can easily tell if your walls are steel or polymer with a magnet. If it sticks it’s steel, if it doesn’t it’s polymer.

They have to cut the steps out, don't they? I could ask to keep that part haha! They haven't cut anything in yet.

Oh yeah good point there about keeping some scrap liner! Keep enough of in case you need to make a patch in the liner one day. I don’t believe any of the patch kits match very well.

That is the exact liner we used, it was the one of the only ones that the base is blue,,,,, we love it.

How long have you had it and how long has it held up? Our main consideration when we chose the liner was longevity. Our PB said he has several that he installed 10 years ago and says they still look brand new. My wife wasn’t sure about the color, but also wanted a liner that wouldn’t fade and would last a long time. She really likes it now that it’s in.

We only got the liner installed in May of 2020, so I can't speak of it's longevity, but the company I hired to install the liner said this one should last a lot longer than the last liner, and I got 16 years out of that one.

I can say at one year it looks perfect,,,,, but one year isn't very long.

Basically it just means that they fill it up with water before they cut out around the steps. The weight of the water will pull the liner completely into place. If they try and stretch it, cut it out and then fill it up, then there will be a lot more stress on the liner where they screwed the gaskets in and so it will fail and tear there much more quickly.

Yep that’s the one! Oh and thanks for the link, I had no idea that my liner is “finished with a pattern that transcends a thousand generations.” That’s one heck of a bonus! Lol!

Still filling up but it's moving along! I am loving the aqua coloration forming in the deep end. The water is so inviting!!
I am most likely going to be shutting it all off late tonight. They told me to shut it all down when the water gets to the bottom step, then they are going to come cut in.
I was wondering about adding bleach right now and giving it a stir with the net? Obviously not hooked up to any circulation right now but it's awfully hot out there and I don't want a huge algae bloom! But I do not know if that would interfere with anyone.

Looks good! Your probably OK holding off until they come back and cut the steps in and it’s finished filling up.
 
Have the same liner, 2yrs now, we're happy with it. It is in the sun from 6a-10p in summer time.

Yes get your Liquid Chlorine in there....use your robot if you have one to help mix and circulate it. Why chance it?
Also do you have your CYA hanging over the side yet? Don't let it lay on the wall though. It won't do much without current in water but its a start and if it interferes in any wah with the liner guys just take it out and lay in a bucket till they're done.

I've got a bucket of tablets I had to resort to using when covid hit because bleach was out of stock everywhere. I was thinking of using the bucket up since my water has zero CYA, as a way to sit-and-forget chlorinate for a while and get CYA in there. I know from the last 2 years that with the sun / heat my pool needs around 60 CYA in late july-august... I don't think there are even enough tabs left to get it that high so it should be alright?
