HELP!! I have been dealing with Cloudy water since I opened my pool! I started with green algea and I shocked my pool alot to get rid of it! I found this site and I ordered the K-2500 kit to start testing my water, I thought I was doing everything right but my water is still Cloudy and my alkalinity is really high, I have lowered my ph to 7 and my alkalinity is still 250!! I'm not sure if this is causing my Cloudy water or not!! I have a 7400 gallon vinyl pool with an intex sand filter.

There a re a couple things that catch my eye. First, I believe you probably have the Taylor K-2005 kit. That's okay, but it does not have the FAS-DPD that converts your kit to a K-2006 and allows you to test FC at much higher level. You need that because at an FC of 5 or below you'll never clear the algae.
Your Poolmath log also show s a CYA of 60 yesterday then zero today. Was that a testing change or did you just not test and enter zero? An accurate CYA will be very important for us to help you clear the algae.

I didn't test the cya today, but just tested it and it's still a 60 it has been about that level for a few days, I haven't added any chlorine to it since Thursday. My pool is really blue, just really Cloudy!Welcome to TFP!

Well that's definitely something to rectify straight away. With a CYA the FC/CYA Levels says you need to keep your FC between 7-9, and absolutely under no circumstances below 5. Since your first entry in PoolMath 2 weeks ago, you've only been above that level once, and since you were opening your pool, you also probably should have performed a complete SLAM Process SLAM Process.
I'd recommend doing a SLAM again until you pass the 3 criteria. Your pool is small enough it won't take a ton of chlorine to get you there.
Given the size of your pool, you might also consider draining ~half the water and replacing with fresh. CYA of 60 is a bit high for a manually chlorinated pool and it will reduce the amount of chlorine you need to bring it up to SLAM level and you can do some vacuuming to waste to clean up whatever else might be on the bottom of the pool.

Follow the SLAM process with a CYA of 60. SLAM level FC is 24 ppm.So I should drain half then refill and then start the slam process? Just want to make sure I'm doing this right!
