Hello all. So I have the no flow light solid red on. I have gone ahead and replaced the flow sensor and same thing. I followed a troubleshooting youtube video where it says that if you insert a flat head screw driver into the Rj11 telephone jack, and it blinks then it is the flow sensor and not the board. I did as it said and it did blink red, but even after replacing the flow sensor it remains red. Before I focus on replacing the board, any other suggestions, tips or how to on replacing something on the board that might have gone bad?

Thanks

It is a simple “open/close” circuit. Open = no flow, closed = flow. You can take the old sensor, cut and strip the wires and twist the two wires together. Plug it in as a test. That should show a flow, flashing light for one minute, then light off. If it does, then check to be sure the new sensor was installed in the correct orientation. Make sure the little arrow on top pointed in the direction of the flow.

Thank you. The test with the phone cable gave same results of solid red light. I went ahead and ordered the RJ11 connectors to swap out and see if that resolves the issue. Will come back with an update after such installation. Thanks again

So I went ahead and ordered the connectors. I also removed the circuit board from the box and started looking into the rj11 female jack. I could see the pins inside bent inward which would cause a faulty connector. I was able to pull out pins 3 and 4 which are the ones that make the connection of open or close. I tested it quickly and now I am getting flow detection. Temporary fix until the new connectors arrive. Thanks for all your help.

Hello, where did you order the RJ11 jack from ? Thank you. Also I was told the 1.59version of this board was not repairable ???

You can order one from digi key, but I have removed them from old computer modem and they work just fine if you can solder. Actually only two center wires are used of the 6 in the jack.
