Should I retest and is there anything I should add to the pool now? Pool math says add chlorine and stuff, but I put in two gallons today already before the test. And just a reminder I need to have this thing swimmable for Saturday morning for my son's birthday party. If clear, doubtful the CC is that high. Unless a lot of non-chlorine shock or sulfamic acid was added to the pool water.
A CYA of 80 is a choice. If the water is crystal clear, and will pass a Overnight Chlorine Loss Test, and the CC is really 0.5 or less, then maintain as is. If you cannot pass a OCLT, or the CC is really higher than 0.5, then drain/refill 50% and follow the SLAM Process
The other thing I should probably mention is we are in the woods and there is stuff dropping from the trees constantly these days. Just while I had the pool cover open a bunch of stuff fell into the pool.
Also, thanks so much for all your help.
