I've been trolling this site December gathering valuable information for my new pool build at my house in Phoenix, Az. I am doing a owner builder pool. In talking with several Plumbing contractors(if you can get them to answer the phone these days) there have been several plumbing configurations discussed for my build. I wouldn't be posting this if I was ok with adding a 3rd pump to handle all the features. If 3 pumps is ultimately the right configuration then I will go with it but I cant seem to find the problem with the configuration in my plan.
I have a ~20k gallon pool with a 1200 gallon raised spa(with spillover), and 3 sheer decents(12LF total), with in-floor cleaning.t
Main pump for filtration and infloors
The Sheers will run on the second pump
I can run the spa therapies off the main pump and through the filter but that limits it to 6 jets, per several recommendations. I'd rather the therapies not run in the filter and I'd like to have 8 jets in my 7'6" diameter spa.
So...
Do I run the therapies on a 3rd pump or can I run them on the same pump as the Sheers. understanding that the sheers cant run when the spa is on....
I have drawn the attached schematic with my plan. Please comment on foreseeable issues/problems and/or reasons for/against a 3rd pump.
