Intelliflo - Setting up speed for two features

I have an Intelliflo VSF controlled by EasyTouch/Screenlogic. I have a Polaris 380 driven by a booster pump. The EasyTouch is also controlling the solar bypass valve. The pump speed settings for circuits is as follows:
Pool - 1800RPM
Cleaner - 2050RPM
Solar - 2400RPM

Everything works fine as long as the cleaner is running or solar valve is open. Once both the solar valve is open and the cleaner is running, there seems to be not enough pressure coming out of the booster pump to drive the Polaris cleaner.

My question:
Is there a way to set a speed for a combination of circuits, so when two of them are on I can have a different speed? Or do I just need to increase the speed for the cleaner circuit during the months when I use solar (e.g. set "cleaner" speed to 2800?)

I don't believe it the ET can do that..

Just set cleaner to a speed of 2800..

Actually, the best bet is to move up from the 1970's and into this Century and get a Robot...

If there are 2 active circuits with different speeds, the ET is supposed to run at the higher speed. Is it not doing that? In any case, the booster pump should propel the cleaner regardless of the filter pump speed.

I wonder whether you're getting air in your Polaris plumbing. If its circuit is properly set up as Master Cleaner, the ET should shut off the booster pump for a few minutes when solar activates to allow the air from the solar panels to return to the pool, not to the cleaner.

Thanks for your reply. I think I have an issue with the booster priming. Even when solar is off, I sometimes find it is running, but no pressure coming out of the cleaner outlet. If I turn off the booster pump and then turn it on again, it builds pressure (sometimes takes a few tries). I found that if I increase the filter pump speed, it reduces the chance of this happening. That's why I wanted to increase the filter pump speed even higher when solar is on.

Actually, the best bet is to move up from the 1970's and into this Century and get a Robot...

Since you brought it up, may I ask:
- Is it true you should not leave the robot underwater for extended periods of time?
- How is a robot compared to a Polaris 380 in terms of covering the entire pool, not going in circles and attempting suicide by wrapping itself on its feed hose?

No it is not true.. here is my story... I have three robots.. The one at my house only stays in the pool when working as I don't enjoy see it in there... My other two robots are at rent houses where they stay in the pool 24/7 unless someone is swimming.. This means that in the winter, they only come out to clean the filter once a week.

A robot does a lot better job cleaning the pool than any water powered cleaner.

The cord does sometime get tangled, but it does not seem to keep the robot from working.. For best results, when you take the robot out to clean the filters, it is a good idea to untwist the cord and lay it out on the desk for a few hours in the sun.. I usually do this about every other week..
