Everything looks like its turning out great on this one. Curious who you are building with, we are in the process of getting quotes now for our pool in NW OKC and would be interested in getting a few more bids. Thanks!

Well, almost 6 months later, we are almost done with the pool and casita. One week left on pool and one month on the pool house. Both builders were reasonable, listened, and cared about the outcome. Overall, stressful but a success!

Awesome! Is su casita mi casita? If so, please advise of address.

Rarely see a waterfall that I truly love. Great design.

Only thing that gives me slight pause are the rocks at the waterline. I hope they don’t show stains from water drying on them and leaving behind mineral deposits. Can likely be handled with regular cleaning if it occurs.

Great job!!

Thank you bmpreswim! We didn’t like the first version of the waterfall but the PB listened and changed it. Question: we didn’t brush the plaster for the first 12 days. I’m frustrated with myself for not researching and my PB for not telling me to do it. How negatively will this impact the plaster look and longevity? I’m trying to determine how to communicate with my PB? Thanks!

I looked through but didn’t see what type of plaster surface you have, plain plaster, pebble or quartz. If you have pebble it has the least plaster and in generally the least affected by brushing. The other two are more similar I feel. With plain plaster being the more finicky of the two if I understand them. However I’m no plaster expert. Brushing helps to remove the plaster dust from the surface which allows the aggregate (marble in the case of plan plaster) to be exposed and perhaps keep it from aggregating on the surface. I get fuzzy at that point. Also, the darker the plaster the more likely to have coloration/mottling issues. But often those relate to application issues and are not affected by brushing.

What I am fairly certain of is that brushing, while important, tends to be more related to appearance than longevity. And it also doesn’t mean you will have a poor looking surface. It’s not that black and white. Just brush now. Don’t lose sleep. Others will likely provide more insight or I can reach out for a better person to discuss.

Wonderful! Everything turned out perfect! You have a beautiful pool and backyard oasis. Well done! 👏 👏 👏 Six months is a long time . . . but . . . you started BEFORE me and I'm still waiting for tile!

That looks awesome! I am with bmoreswim in that I don't often see a waterfall that I love. I love that one! The landscape design incorporated it well.
